Linn Klimax Radikal

Why choose the Linn Klimax Radikal?

The Linn Klimax Radikal provides Linn’s premium motor and power-supply option for suitably configured Sondek LP12 turntables.

It is intended for customers building or upgrading a high-level LP12 system where the motor, power supply and wider turntable specification are considered together.

DC motor and power supply

The Klimax Radikal combines a DC motor with a separate external power-supply unit.

This replaces compatible AC motor arrangements used with products such as the Linn Majik PSU or Lingo.

Premium machined enclosure

This version of Radikal is housed in Linn’s machined enclosure.

It should not be confused with Linn Radikal Standard, which uses Linn’s standard enclosure while providing a separate DC motor and power-supply route.

Available in Black or Silver

The Linn Klimax Radikal is available in Black or Silver.

Select the finish that best complements the surrounding Linn electronics and wider system.

Part of the Klimax LP12 specification

Klimax Radikal forms part of Linn’s current Klimax LP12 complete-turntable specification alongside Urika II, Keel SE, Ekos SE and Ekstatik.

It may also be considered as an upgrade for another compatible LP12 where the existing deck and supporting components are suitable.

Designed for compatible Linn Sondek LP12 systems

The Linn Klimax Radikal is intended for suitably configured Linn Sondek LP12 turntables.

The age, motor, bearing, sub-chassis, suspension and existing power-supply arrangement should all be assessed before ordering.

A higher-level LP12 motor-control upgrade

Klimax Radikal can be considered where the customer is moving beyond a compatible Majik PSU, Lingo or Radikal Standard configuration.

The most appropriate upgrade path depends on the current LP12 specification, connected Linn system and overall priorities.

Professional installation required

Installing the Linn Klimax Radikal requires replacement and configuration of the LP12 motor system.

An experienced Linn specialist should complete the installation, confirm correct operation and carry out the required suspended-turntable setup.

Installation through Rococo Systems

As the Linn Klimax Radikal is an individual LP12 upgrade component, installation arrangements should be confirmed when ordering.

Rococo Systems can supply and professionally install the Klimax Radikal as part of an LP12 upgrade or system setup. Installation of equipment purchased elsewhere may be chargeable.

Klimax Radikal or Radikal Standard?

Both versions combine a DC motor with an external power supply, but they use different enclosure specifications.

Rococo Systems can help determine which version is the best match for the customer’s LP12, wider Linn system and budget.

Expert Linn LP12 advice
