Ekos SE tonearm with Ekstatik cartridge
The Ekos SE tonearm forms a highly rigid and accurately controlled mechanical path between the cartridge and the Keel SE sub-chassis.
Its machined titanium arm tube, stainless-steel bearing housing and ultra-low-friction bearings are engineered to support precise cartridge movement while limiting unwanted mechanical energy.
At its tip sits Ekstatik, Linn’s flagship moving-coil cartridge, developed to retrieve fine musical information from the groove with exceptional stability and control.

Mechanical and digital engineering in one system
Klimax LP12 combines the physical precision of the Karousel bearing, Keel SE, Ekos SE and Ekstatik with the speed control of Klimax Radikal and digital phono processing of Urika II.
Each component is designed to support the next, preserving the signal from the stylus through to the connected Linn network music player or System Hub.

Precision platter control
Klimax Radikal motor and power supply
Klimax Radikal replaces the conventional AC motor arrangement with Linn’s precision DC motor and advanced control electronics.
The motor system continuously manages platter speed and provides electronic selection of 33⅓ and 45 rpm playback.
Its external electronics are housed in a machined Klimax enclosure, separating the main power-supply components from the sensitive mechanics of the turntable.
One-piece structural precision
Keel SE sub-chassis and armboard
Keel SE combines the LP12 sub-chassis, armboard and tonearm collar within one machined-from-solid component.
This unified structure creates an exceptionally rigid connection between the Karousel bearing and Ekos SE tonearm.
By removing conventional interfaces and separate fixings, Keel SE helps maintain a consistent mechanical relationship throughout the suspended assembly.
Flagship moving-coil performance
Ekstatik cartridge
Ekstatik is Linn’s flagship moving-coil cartridge and is fitted as standard to the current Klimax LP12.
Its cartridge body, cantilever, stylus and internal generator are engineered to minimise unwanted movement while tracking complex groove modulation accurately.
The cartridge is professionally aligned with the Ekos SE tonearm as part of the complete Klimax LP12 setup.
Digital phono processing
Urika II internal phono stage
Urika II is installed within the LP12 and takes the low-level signal directly from the Ekstatik moving-coil cartridge.
RIAA correction and phono processing are carried out in the digital domain before the signal leaves the turntable through Exakt Link.
This short internal signal path removes the need for a separate external phono-stage connection between the turntable and compatible Linn system.
Precision at the centre
Karousel single-point bearing
The Karousel bearing provides the central mechanical reference around which the platter rotates.
Its substantial stainless-steel construction and secure lock-nut mounting create a rigid connection with Keel SE.
Because every rotating and suspended component ultimately works in relation to the bearing, its stability remains fundamental even within the highest LP12 specification.
Choose your finish
Smooth, fluted and high-gloss plinth options
The Linn Klimax LP12 can be ordered with either a smooth plinth or Linn’s traditional fluted design.
Standard finishes include Oak, Cherry, Black Ash, Rosenut and Walnut, while Piano Black and Alpine White are available as high-gloss options.
Approved custom high-gloss colour matching may also be available by enquiry. Bedrok is a separate performance plinth upgrade rather than a standard finish variation.

The Linn Klimax LP12 includes Urika II rather than a conventional analogue-output phono stage.
Urika II outputs the processed phono signal through Exakt Link and therefore requires a compatible Exakt-enabled Linn network music player or System Hub.
It should not be connected directly to a normal RCA, XLR or conventional line-level amplifier input.

The Linn Klimax LP12 starts from £32,200 including VAT in its standard complete configuration.
Fluted and high-gloss plinth selections may carry additional charges. Custom colour-matched finishes and the Bedrok performance plinth are quoted separately.

Professional LP12 assembly and installation
Professional assembly, delivery and initial setup are included when the Linn Klimax LP12 is purchased from Rococo Systems.
Setup can include suspension adjustment, levelling, cartridge alignment, tracking force, Radikal configuration, Urika II setup, Exakt Link connection and integration with a compatible Linn player.
Wall shelves, specialist furniture, concealed cabling, electrical work, network infrastructure changes and integration involving products purchased elsewhere may be chargeable.
Servicing and future care
The performance of a suspended turntable depends on accurate mechanical adjustment.
Inspection or servicing may be recommended following transportation, relocation or installation of a replacement component.
