The Linn Klimax DSM Audio combines a reference network music player, Organik digital-to-analogue converter and integrated preamplifier within one precision-engineered enclosure.
It can connect directly to compatible power amplification, form the source for a Linn Exakt system or bring analogue and digital components together within one carefully controlled music system.
The Audio version is intended for music-focused installations and does not include the HDMI switching board supplied with the separately available Klimax DSM AV.

A tactile control surface machined with extraordinary precision
The upper control dial provides direct access to volume, playback and favourite functions without requiring a phone or tablet.
Individual sections of the dial illuminate according to the selected function, while the surrounding surface is cut with fine concentric detailing.
The front display presents album artwork, track details and system information within a calm, uncluttered interface.

Reference performance without dominating the interior
Klimax DSM Audio brings streaming, source selection, volume control and digital-to-analogue conversion together within one compact component.
Its low-profile aluminium enclosure can sit comfortably within a living space while replacing several separate pieces of conventional audio equipment.
Choose Silver or Black anodised casework to coordinate the player with Klimax amplification and the wider design of the room.

Rather than relying on a complete off-the-shelf conversion solution, Linn designed the core processing and analogue output stages to work as one controlled system.
This gives Linn greater influence over timing, filtering, conversion and the handling of the analogue signal before it leaves the player.

The Linn Utopik power supply is designed to provide stable electrical power to the sensitive processing, conversion and analogue circuitry inside Klimax DSM Audio.
Power-supply noise can affect several stages of an audio component, so the supply forms an important part of the complete player rather than operating as a background utility.
Its efficient architecture also supports the compact proportions of the machined aluminium enclosure.

Streaming, analogue and digital inputs brought together
Klimax DSM Audio can play music stored on a compatible network server and provides access to supported streaming platforms and internet radio services.
Analogue, optical, coaxial and USB audio inputs allow compatible turntable systems, disc players, computers and other sources to become part of the same system.
Integrated volume control means the Klimax DSM Audio can connect directly to compatible power amplifiers without requiring a separate preamplifier.
High-resolution playback
Designed for extensive digital music libraries
Klimax DSM Audio supports compatible PCM music up to 24-bit/384 kHz alongside selected DSD formats.
Supported file types include FLAC, Apple Lossless, WAV, DSD, MP3, WMA, AIFF, AAC and OGG.
Playback can be managed through the Linn App, supported streaming platforms, compatible control systems or the physical controls on the player itself.
Ready for Exakt
Connect digitally to a compatible Linn system
Two Exakt Link connections allow Klimax DSM Audio to connect to compatible Linn Exakt loudspeakers and Exaktbox products.
This can keep the music signal in the digital domain until it reaches the appropriate processing and conversion stage within the loudspeaker system.
The same player can also be used conventionally through its balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA analogue outputs.

Linn Space Optimisation included
Linn Space Optimisation can model the acoustic behaviour of the listening room and account for the practical position of the loudspeakers.
Room dimensions, construction materials, speaker placement and the preferred listening area can all be considered during system configuration.
