The Linn Klimax Twin combines two matching channels of high-performance power amplification within one precision-engineered enclosure.

It can power a pair of passive loudspeakers within a conventional stereo system or be combined with additional amplification for multi-amplified and compatible Exakt system configurations.

Two channels of Chakra amplification

Each channel uses Linn’s patented Chakra amplifier topology and delivers up to 200 W into 4 Ω or 111 W into 8 Ω.

Chakra technology is designed to combine precision at lower output levels with robust power delivery as the musical signal becomes more demanding.

Designed for reference stereo systems

A single Klimax Twin can provide the left and right amplification required for a high-performance passive stereo system.

Additional Klimax Twin amplifiers may also be used where separate amplification is required for multiple loudspeaker drive units or additional system channels.

Machined-from-solid aluminium enclosure

The Klimax Twin enclosure is precision-machined from a solid billet of aluminium rather than assembled from conventional folded metal panels.

The substantial casework provides electrical and mechanical isolation between the amplifier and power-supply circuit boards while also helping dissipate heat.

Linn Dynamik power supply

The Linn Dynamik switch-mode power supply is designed to provide stable, low-noise power while responding quickly to changes in musical demand.

Its efficient operation allows the amplifier to deliver substantial power from a slim enclosure without relying on a bulky conventional transformer-based supply.

Balanced and unbalanced inputs

The Linn Klimax Twin provides two balanced XLR inputs and two unbalanced RCA phono inputs, allowing it to connect to a range of compatible Linn and third-party preamplifiers.

The appropriate input type should be selected according to the source component, cable lengths and wider system design.

Automatic signal sensing and protection

Energy-saving signal-sensing circuitry detects whether an audio signal is present and reduces power consumption when the amplifier is inactive.

Automatic fault detection and protection also help safeguard the amplifier and connected loudspeakers against short circuits and excessive loads.

Choosing Silver or Black

The Linn Klimax Twin is available with either Silver or Black anodised aluminium casework.

Both finishes use the same machined-from-solid construction and can be selected to coordinate with the other Linn components within the system.

Linn specifies versions with either binding-post or Neutrik speaker connections.
