Linn Klimax 343 System with Exakt Integrated loudspeakers

The Linn Klimax 343 System brings Klimax System Hub and a matched pair of 343 Exakt Integrated loudspeakers together within one complete digital music system.

Klimax System Hub provides the source and system-control architecture, while each 343 loudspeaker contains Exakt processing, Organik DACs, Adaptive Bias Control amplification and Linn’s Power DAC and Pistonik bass system.

This integrated approach removes the need for separate external power amplifiers and places more of the signal path inside components designed to operate together from the outset.

Klimax System Hub

Klimax System Hub acts as the control centre for the Linn Klimax 343 System.

It provides the digital source and control architecture required to feed the 343 loudspeakers through Exakt Link.

Rather than converting the music to analogue and sending it to an external power amplifier, the signal can remain digital until it reaches the processing and conversion stages inside each loudspeaker.

Exakt Link between System Hub and loudspeakers

Exakt Link carries the digital music signal and system data from Klimax System Hub to the two 343 Exakt Integrated loudspeakers.

This allows the source and loudspeakers to operate as coordinated parts of one Linn architecture rather than as independent products connected through a conventional analogue signal chain.

No separate external power amplifiers are required in the standard Klimax 343 System configuration.

Conversion inside the loudspeaker

Organik DAC architecture

Organik is Linn’s proprietary digital-to-analogue conversion architecture.

Within 343 Exakt Integrated, Organik DACs form part of the integrated electronics responsible for the 343 Array.

Because Exakt processing takes place digitally before conversion, the DAC architecture can operate as part of the loudspeaker system itself rather than as a separate box earlier in the replay chain.

Dedicated onboard power

Adaptive Bias Control amplification

The 343 Array is powered by integrated Class AB amplification with Linn Adaptive Bias Control.

This means the amplification required by the tweeter, midrange and upper-bass architecture is already contained within the loudspeaker.

The owner therefore does not need to select or accommodate separate external power amplifiers for a standard Klimax 343 System.

Designed around Pistonik

Upper and lower bass developed as one system

343 is the first Linn loudspeaker designed around Pistonik technology from the outset.

Its 190 mm upper-bass driver and down-firing 220 mm lower-bass driver both use Pistonik motor technology.

The cabinet geometry, drive-unit behaviour and supporting electronics were developed together, with the curved lower section of the enclosure providing the space required for the down-firing bass architecture while retaining the speaker’s comparatively slender front profile.

Power DAC bass architecture

Integrated active lower bass

The lower-bass section uses Linn Power DAC architecture to drive the down-firing Pistonik driver.

This bass system is integrated into each loudspeaker rather than depending on an external amplifier.

The arrangement forms part of the fundamental 343 design and is shared conceptually with the PWAB version, although Exakt Integrated goes considerably further by also integrating the upper-array processing, conversion and amplification.

Electronics protected from the cabinet

Mechanically isolated rear module

The integrated electronics sit within a dedicated module at the rear of each 343, concealed beneath the curved cabinet cowl.

Linn mounts the module using a three-point spring system designed to mechanically decouple it from the loudspeaker cabinet.

This allows the electronics and the moving acoustic elements of the loudspeaker to occupy the same enclosure while remaining mechanically separated.

Silent thermal management

Passive cooling without a fan

The rear electronics module is passively cooled rather than using a mechanical fan.

Linn developed a custom aluminium heat sink with internal fins that creates a chimney-style airflow path through the module.

Heat is carried upwards and expelled through the machined vent at the top of the loudspeaker without introducing fan noise into the listening room.

Designed around the listening space

Linn Space Optimisation+

343 Exakt Integrated supports Linn Space Optimisation+ as part of the Exakt system architecture.

It allows the final configuration to account for aspects of the interaction between the loudspeakers and the listening environment.

Physical positioning remains an important part of the setup, with Space Optimisation+ forming part of the final commissioning rather than replacing careful installation.

Reference performance with fewer boxes

A complete system without the conventional equipment stack

Much of the technology normally spread across several separate components is contained within the Klimax 343 System itself.

Klimax System Hub provides the source and control architecture, while each loudspeaker contains its own crossover processing, Organik conversion, amplification and active bass electronics.

The principal visible electronics component can therefore remain the Klimax System Hub, with the loudspeakers connected digitally through Exakt Link.

Choose your Linn 343 finish

Linn 343 is available in six launch finishes: Triton, Single Malt, Clyde Built, Linn Heritage, Piano Black and Alpine White.

The 343 Array trim is supplied in black across the range.

The current 343 specification does not list a custom cabinet finish option.

The compact reference system

Klimax 343 System or Klimax 360 System?

The Linn Klimax 343 System is priced at £82,500, while the flagship Klimax 360 System is currently £117,000.

Both systems pair Klimax System Hub with fully integrated Exakt loudspeakers, but the acoustic platforms are different.

343 is Linn’s compact reference loudspeaker. 360 remains the larger flagship loudspeaker platform.
