The Linn Selekt LP12 is the high-performance midpoint of the Sondek LP12 range, combining precision-engineered components from the upper tiers of Linn’s turntable platform.
Supplied with the Karousel bearing, Kore sub-chassis, Trampolin baseboard, Lingo power supply, Arko tonearm and Kendo moving-coil cartridge, it provides a complete vinyl source with a clear path for future upgrades.

The Linn Selekt LP12 occupies the space between the introductory Majik LP12 and Linn’s reference Klimax configuration.
Its components have been selected as a complete system, raising the performance of the bearing, suspended structure, motor control, tonearm, cartridge and turntable isolation together.
The result is a turntable designed for listeners who want to explore more of the information contained within their records while retaining the LP12’s modular, upgradeable architecture.

The performance of an LP12 depends on the relationship between its individual mechanical and electrical components.
Selekt LP12 combines the Karousel bearing, Kore sub-chassis, Lingo power supply, Arko tonearm and Kendo cartridge to create a carefully balanced turntable rather than a collection of unrelated upgrades.
Each element supports the next, helping preserve musical information from the record groove through to the phono stage.

Choose the plinth style and finish
The Linn Selekt LP12 can be ordered with a smooth or traditionally fluted wooden plinth.
Standard finishes include Oak, Cherry, Black Ash, Rosenut and Walnut, with Piano Black, Alpine White and approved custom high-gloss colours also available.

Karousel single-point bearing
The Karousel bearing forms the mechanical reference around which the platter rotates.
Its substantial stainless-steel construction and secure mounting arrangement are designed to provide a rigid and stable connection with the suspended sub-chassis.
Because the platter, record and tonearm ultimately operate in relation to the bearing, this central component plays a fundamental role in the performance of the turntable.

Kore aluminium sub-chassis and machined armboard
The Linn Selekt LP12 replaces the Majik-level sub-chassis and laminated armboard with Linn’s higher-performance Kore assembly.
Kore uses a stiff, multi-layer aluminium sub-chassis bonded to an armboard machined from solid aluminium.
The tonearm collar connects directly to the sub-chassis, creating a more rigid mechanical relationship between the bearing and the Arko tonearm.
High-precision tracking
Arko gimballed tonearm
Arko is a high-precision gimballed tonearm manufactured from 7075-grade aluminium.
Its construction is designed to provide a rigid and stable path between the cartridge and Kore sub-chassis while allowing the stylus to track the record groove accurately.
The tonearm has been developed as the natural partner for Linn’s Kendo moving-coil cartridge.

Kendo cartridge with super-fine-line stylus
Kendo is Linn’s high-performance moving-coil cartridge, positioned below the flagship Ekstatik while sharing several of its core design principles.
It uses a rigid nickel-coated 7075-grade aluminium body, low-mass boron cantilever and super-fine-line diamond stylus.
The cartridge body and Arko tonearm use the same grade of aluminium, helping create a consistent mechanical path through the complete tonearm assembly.
Dual-speed control
Lingo motor power supply
The Linn Selekt LP12 includes Lingo, Linn’s hybrid internal and external power supply for the turntable motor.
Lingo provides electronically controlled playback at both 33⅓ and 45 rpm without requiring a manual belt or pulley adjustment.
Its external power-supply section also moves part of the motor-control circuitry away from the sensitive mechanical components inside the turntable.
Additional isolation
Trampolin suspended aluminium baseboard
Trampolin replaces the fixed Solid Base supplied with Majik LP12.
Its aluminium baseboard and suspended feet provide additional isolation from vibration travelling through the supporting furniture or floor.
This makes Trampolin particularly useful when the turntable is installed on conventional furniture rather than a dedicated wall shelf.

Smooth, fluted and high-gloss options
The Linn Selekt LP12 can be specified with either a smooth plinth or Linn’s traditional fluted design.
Standard wood finishes include Oak, Cherry, Black Ash, Rosenut and Walnut.
Piano Black, Alpine White and approved custom colour-matched high-gloss finishes are also available, with applicable additional charges confirmed before ordering.
A platform for the future

The modular Sondek LP12 architecture allows individual components to be upgraded without replacing the complete turntable.

Compatible moving-coil phono stage required
The Linn Selekt LP12 does not include an onboard phono preamplifier.
Its Kendo cartridge produces a low-level moving-coil signal and must be connected to a compatible MC phono input or separate moving-coil phono stage.
A Linn Selekt DSM includes a dedicated moving-coil phono input and can therefore provide a natural system partnership, subject to the wider configuration.

Professional LP12 assembly and setup
Professional assembly, delivery and initial setup are included when the Linn Selekt LP12 is purchased from Rococo Systems.
Setup can include suspension adjustment, levelling, tonearm and cartridge alignment, tracking force, bias adjustment, Lingo configuration and connection to a compatible moving-coil phono stage.
Wall shelves, specialist furniture, concealed cabling, building work and integration involving products purchased elsewhere may be chargeable.
Servicing and future upgrades
The performance of a suspended turntable depends on accurate mechanical adjustment.
Inspection or servicing may therefore be recommended following transportation, relocation or the installation of a new component.
