The flagship Linn Klimax LP12 Turntable offers the pinnacle of vinyl reproduction today, setting the benchmark worldwide for all other turntables on the market.
The Linn LP12 was brought out in 1973. It took a while to get up on it’s feet but by the 80’s it became the best selling premium record player. Still today it’s believed to be one of the most capable decks around. Although over the years the appearance has changed. Almost every part has been developed, but all the important improvements are retrofittable.
If you are lucky enough to have one of the early decks and are looking to bring it up to current standards, here at Rococo Systems & Designs we can do this for you. Just give us a call on 0127789088 and one of our experienced Linn Specialists will be able to help you with this.
Nearly 50 years research has gone into the new evolution of the turntable. The product has been engineered throughout that time so your record player will work at a finest quality for years to come and continue to be improved with upgrades alongside.
The beautifully made LP12 is fantastic to use due to it smooth bearings that provide a feeling of luxury. It has an arm tube produced from titanium with a main bearing from stainless steel. Even though the LP12 was introduced in the 70’s it still feels modern and is thoroughly competitive throughout the Hi-Fi market.
The body is a machined piece of 7075 aluminium. It has an exposed design meaning the housing doesn’t cover the internals – this prevents structural resonances that ruin sound.
In addition the Klimax LP12 is available in a choice of stunning solid wood finishes; Black Ash, Cherry, Oak, Rose nut or Walnut.
Radikal is available in either from Klimax or Akurate in black or silver to match the rest of your Linn system.
To connect the Klimax LP12 is simple. There is two leads that link between the LP12 and Radikal power supply – one is for the phono stage and the other for the DC motor. Just plug in the mains power supply into the Radikal and be prepared to experience a new quality of music that you have never heard before.
The Linn Klimax LP12 Turntable is incredible in the way it looks and sounds. As an example we played Micheal Jacksons Bad through the system and the detail of the music was indescribable. Each and every instrumental strand was to a finest quality which came together as an engaging whole.
The LP12 is known also for its ability to convey rhythms. It plays tracks with a real precision whilst losing nothing while the music builds to its climax.
If you are someone who enjoys classical, piano music the LP12 will provide you with the luxurious sense of piano notes that sound solid and harmonically coherent delivered with great skill. Such as Beethoven’s Fifth symphony. It sounds incredible. The sound is delivered on a huge scale of power to play the music with passion.
